| Planning and Governance
Task Force
In November 2005, the JWC and the City of Minneapolis combined to form a Planning and Governance Task Force to:
- compile and review existing technical planning information needed to make joint water supply planning decisions
- consider a stronger governance role for the JWC
- evaluate an emergency backup water supply
- review water demands and supply options evaluate joint supply alternatives using of JWC groundwater and MWW Mississippi River water
- develop a policy on emergency interconnections
The Task Force is comprised of elected an appointed officials of the three JWC Cities (Crystal, Golden Valley, and New Hope), the City of Minneapolis, and consulting engineers. Task Force Members
