The Golden Valley – Crystal – New Hope Joint Water Commission meeting was called to order at 1:35 pm, in the City of Golden Valley Council Conference Room.

Staff Present:
Sue Virnig, Finance Director, Golden Valley
Jeannine Clancy, Public Works Director, Golden Valley
Bert Tracy, Utility Maintenance Supervisor, Golden Valley
Paul Coone, Operations Manager, New Hope
Mark Gaulke, Utility Maintenance Supervisor, New Hope
Guy Johnson, Public Works Director, New Hope
Randy Kloepper, Utility Maintenance Supervisor, Crystal
Tom Mathisen, Public Works Director, Crystal

 Approval of JWC Minutes

MOVED by Norris, seconded by Burt and motion carried to approve the minutes of the November 1, 2006 meeting.

 Sprint/Nextel Tower Agreements

Sprint/Nextel wanted to renegotiate the contracts for rental of the New Hope for space for phone equipment.

MOVED by Norris, seconded by Burt and motion carried to do nothing with the current contracts. Both contracts currently have renewal privileges.  

Update on the Reservoir Leak Project

Tom Mathisen said that the repair work should be finished this week.

Other

Tom Mathisen passed out an article from the AWWA magazine titled Introduction to Climate Change: Issues and Perspectives.

Next Meeting

The next regularly scheduled meeting is set for 1:30 pm, January 3, 2007.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:05 pm.
